We are now approaching the time of year where everyone seems to get sick. I remember times like this as a kid my grandmother had a number of remedies to help us feel better. Rather a small head cold or the flu my granny knew how to knock it out and get us back on track. So today I’m going to share the recipe of the natural cold and cough remedy that she used to help my family growing up. It’s a simple recipe and you can pick every ingredient up locally if you don’t have them at home already.
- 1 clove of chopped garlic
Put garlic cloves and onion in a saucepot. Cover ingredients in honey. Bring the mix to a simmer. Once the garlic looks cooked let the mix cool. 1 teaspoon serving size 2-3 times a day should do the trick.
Refrigerate after using to keep it ready for the duration of the winter and spring months.
